"styling that fit our distinct brand"

"We were surprised at how fast Mireille was able to put everything together to our specific needs. Mireille has amazing communication skills - with minimal direction she created visual styling that fit our distinct brand. Our new website is exactly what we wanted and she provided us with clear training on how to use our new website."

The Business

Colleen’s Bridal Boutique is a new business in Corner Brook that also serves a much larger area of Newfoundland and Labrador. The boutique sells Bridal and Prom dresses and accessories in-person, as well as offering portrait photography for the women celebrating these milestones.

Branding

Colleen wanted to firmly establish her own brand - one that was an extension of her own fun and lighthearted personality - with a strong emphasis on customer service. Weddings and proms are about family and friends celebrating life’s milestones, the website needed to reflect that.

Bridal shop websites in the province are pretty much a sea of white, off-white and pale pastels - so, they all kind of look the same. Colleen preferred brighter colours that stand out, and she already had a fun, colourful sign posted outside the shop - I took my colour inspiration from there. I infused the website with lighthearted, customized illustration in her brand colours and chose stock photos that included family and friends celebrating.

Reach

Being the only Bridal shop on the West Coast, Colleen’s customers come from all over Western Newfoundland and from Labrador, that's a big footprint. While she didn’t need a full e-commerce site, Colleen needed to communicate with customers, both locals and visitors. She wanted to help them plan their bridal shopping by showing them the stock she had in - and had access to - as well keeping them informed about events such as upcoming trunk shows, travelling pop-up shows and private "She Said Yes!" events.

She found that social media just didn't provide her with enough control of the appearance and timing of posts. By displaying their bridal designs on her own website, Colleen’s makes it easier for their customers to prepare for their in-person shopping experience.
